 | October issue of the Translation Journal is out |
We just received this announcement:
The October issue of the Translation Journal is out. Larger than ever, intreresting as always, this issue has 18 feature articles on subjects ranging from translator contracts to client education to logical
fallacies to abbreviations to a review of a book on freelance business issues to handling DTP, in addition to Fire Ant & Worker Bee's advice
column, Translator's Profile, interactive Blog, cartoon of the month, translators' best web sites, and much more.
This issue also features an interview I gave to Verónica Albin, where I present my platform as a candidate for the Board of the ATA.

 | Flefo.org is online again |
There are rumours, that OLR access to our old home will stop working Real Soon Now, so I resurrected Flefo.org again from its slumber. If we have to run our own system, then it will be definitely be something else, as the Bulletin Board/Forum part of this system is not up to what we expect from it. I've already set up a news server on this server with some newsgroups that gives us threaded messages and can be used with OLRs that understand NNTP, but it's not integrated into phpNuke. It's also password protected. If anybody of you wants to play around with it, drop me a line (ck at kuckuk dot com)and I'll create an account for you on that newsserver. My longterm plan is to integrate a web interface to that newsserver into phpNuke and to have both systems work from one set of user accounts. But as I'm very occupied right now, I won't be able to work on that before July 12
